WARNA AKAN SEDIKIT BERBEDA DENGAN ASLI
AN IGOR SIKORSKY ORIGINAL FOR YOUR PLANETAGS COLLECTION With its distinctive hump, the Sikorsky H-34 is one of the most recognizable helicopters in history. Originally serving as medium transport with the armed forces of 25 countries across every continent, this helicopter was brought to prominence during wars in Algeria and Southeast Asia. From patrolling the horizon equipped for anti-submarine warfare, gunship roles, to troop evacuation and transport, search and rescue, cargo hauling, commercial airline shuttling, recovering space capsules, and even carrying presidents, the H-34 made its mark in both the military and civilian world - and has defined the role of helicopters ever since. THE EYES IN THE SKY OF ANTI-SUBMARINE WARFARE Our Sikorsky HSS-1/SH-34G Seabat helicopter, manufacturer serial #58-165, was delivered to the U.S. Navy as 140121 in December 1955 as one of the 215 Anti-Submarine models built, and were re-designated UH-34G in 1962. While stationed at Michigan’s Grosse Ile Naval Air Station, the aircraft was partially damaged in a fire involving a fuel truck and a C-119 Boxcar. It was hauled to the Soplata property in 1963, and is now part of the PlaneTags Soplata Collection.
